Growth

East Berlin has seen a lot of growth and development as from the early days. Agriculture being the source of its resident’s livelihood, the East Berlin Railroad that operated in Adams County handled the agriculture traffic. The rail management was not a smooth one as it has seen a change of ownership over the years.

The East Berlin PA was a multi-racial borough as it had a mix of Whites, African American, Native American, and Asians. There were also other races though they made a small percentage of the entire population. The 2000 census showed that the population was from all age groups, though the females were more than their male counterparts.
